Christine Lacour est née en France, vit et travaille à Paris.
Elle fait ses études à l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Nice-Villa Arson et à l’Institut Supérieur Européen de la Mode (ISEM-Paris).
Elle a travaillé dans la mode comme styliste, a enseigné pendant plusieurs années les arts appliqués sans perdre de vue son ancrage avec la peinture qui devient aujourd’hui son unique activité.
Passionnée d’art, elle garde l’esprit ouvert et est inspirée par d’autres artistes, peintres, musiciens, cinéastes, photographes et écrivains.
Christine Lacour s’intéresse aux grands espaces maritimes, elle y apporte un regard à la fois poétique et plastique et fait résonner en nous le jeu de force de l’immense nature.
Dans son travail, l’eau est l’élément majeur, ses mouvements, sa transparence, son caractère d’imprévisibilité.
Pauses, instants de contemplation, repli, vagues violentes et assourdissantes, sensation de plénitude, recueillement, turbulence, transparence, autant d’évocations que Christine Lacour tente de traduire plastiquement sur toile, papier, plaque de métal ou autres support.
L’intensité du geste est plus forte que la qualité du pigment ou son support. Le passage, la densité, les superpositions de couleurs éliminent toutes autres préoccupations.

Christine Lacour was born in France, she works and lives in Paris.
She studied at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure in Nice at the Villa Arson and at the Institute Supérieur de la Mode (ISEM-Paris).
She has worked in the fashion industry as a designer and taught applied arts for many years without losing her moorings in the painting that has now become her sole professional activity.
Passionate about art, she keeps her mind open and finds inspiration in the work of other artists, painters, musicians, filmmakers, photographers and writers.
Christine Lacour’s subject interest is large maritime spaces to which she brings a both a poetic and fluid perspective that makes resonate in the observer the forcefulness, immenseness and wilderness of nature.
Water, its shape, movement , transparency, fluidity, and unpredictability, is the major element of her work.
Pauses, moments of contemplation, folds, violent and deafening waves, a feeling of fullness, of contemplation, of regathering, turbulence, and reflections of light are all invocations that Christine Lacour casts on canvas, paper, and other mediums.
The intensity of the movement is even stronger than the strength of the pigment or the supporting artistic material.
